What's New at Hager Watches and Where Have You Been?

Hello from Hager Watches. It’s been quite sometime since I’ve posted anything on the blog. I was a prolific poster once, commenting on anything and everything watches and sharing what knowledge I had learned of the industry. That was before our home life with our children became super busy and before I started deploying again. We know many of you have been trying to reach us here at Hager, and we apologize that we have been unavailable at times. Most people think Hager Watches is a huge conglomeration but in fact it is not, it is a family owned business. This past year has saw many challenges within our family and our business, I’ve deployed numerous times overseas (I’ve never said no to my country when asked), my father was in the hospital long-term and recently passed away, and a partnership that we invested a lot of time and money in fell apart, not to mention one of our suppliers had problems with their assortment kits. All of this has impacted our business in some way and our interaction with our customers. With that said, our customers will see some positive changes in the future, such as a new website, new models, and a new partnership with a Swiss and American company (more on that in later posts).

Needless to say, changes are coming. We will be posting about these changes in the future to keep our customers apprised. In the next coming days you will see the release of our newest model, the U-2 Chronograph. We started working on this project after our A-12 Oxcart model watch that we produced for CIA’s A-12 pilots and the Roadrunners association (you can find the article in our old blog). The A-12 featured recessed crown and pushers, and a Dubois Depraz movement 2016 movement. Many of our customers loved the A-12 but unfortunately it was out of their price range. So we listened and produced an affordable chronograph that we are calling the U-2, named after the U-2 Dragonlady spy plane. Stay tuned in the coming week for more information on this watch and how to order. As our 10th Anniversary approaches we want to let everyone know that we appreciate all of the support we have gotten from all of our customers over the years and we sincerely thank you all. Pete
