The Ultimate Interceptor
The F-106 Delta Dart, the inspiration for the Hager Interceptor, was all this and more. It still holds the world single engine jet speed record which it set over 50 years ago. It was able to “supercruise,” (fly at supersonic speed without using afterburner) long before this became a hallmark of modern stealth fighters. It was also one of the best air-to-air fighters of its generation because of its low wing loading and powerful engine.
Like “The Six,” the Hager Interceptor is a visually striking, superb performer. With its aesthetic of practical elegance, it will provide you with outstanding service from the cockpit to the boardroom.
Balancing various design elements and themes as well as boldness and wearability, the Interceptor manages to play the part of a bold-wearing luxury sport watch with an aggressive presence but yet pulls off casual so the wearer can pair with just about anything.
This is a watch with look and character with size and dimensions, 38mm, that keep it surprisingly wearable for a square case. We can argue that is is also a good value proposition. The design is certainly an excellent exercise in combining a beautiful aesthetic to functionality and robustness.
Powering the watch is the MD 7081 assembled in Switzerland in accordance with the 60% rule, the movement is unremarkably robust, and reliable.

Dial
The hours are indicated by applied indices, mixed with SuperLumiNova® 6, 9, and 12 o’clock numerals and hour markers. On the right-hand side of the dial is a framed date window, showing a white-on-black date disc. The rehaut is sloping and marked for the minutes, with thicker strokes used for the 5 minute intervals. The black dial has a brushed finish. The blue dial is a fume sunburst finish. The sweep seconds hand is in the shape of the Delta Dart.
